About this range

Water treatment chemicals from India

Clean water depends on a short list of reliable chemicals. Coagulants such as poly aluminium chloride, alum and ferric chloride make fine particles clump together. Flocculants such as polyacrylamide bind those clumps into heavier flocs that settle or float off. Disinfectants such as calcium hypochlorite and TCCA kill bacteria before water reaches the tap or the pool.

Rudra International manufactures these products for municipal contractors, effluent treatment plants, pool distributors and mining operations around the world. Each order is quoted with grade, packing and documents stated in writing.

Poly Aluminium Chloride (PAC) in a Rudra International drum
01CAS 1327-41-9

Poly Aluminium Chloride (PAC)

[Al₂(OH)ₙCl₆₋ₙ]ₘ

A pre-polymerised aluminium coagulant that works across a wider pH range than alum and forms flocs faster, often at a lower dose. It leaves less residual aluminium and less sludge.

Applications

  • Drinking water clarification
  • Industrial and municipal effluent
  • Paper sizing and retention
  • Textile wastewater colour removal

Grades & forms

Powder, typically 28–31% Al₂O₃, in yellow (industrial) and white (drinking water) grades; liquid grade on request.

Typical packing

25 kg HDPE bags; liquid in drums or IBC tanks.

Aluminium Sulphate (Alum) in a Rudra International drum
02CAS 10043-01-3

Aluminium Sulphate (Alum)

Al₂(SO₄)₃

The classic coagulant for water clarification. Ferric (iron-containing) and non-ferric grades are used for effluent and drinking water respectively.

Applications

  • Drinking water treatment
  • Effluent treatment
  • Paper sizing
  • Dyeing mordant

Grades & forms

Ferric and non-ferric grades; lumps, granules or powder.

Typical packing

50 kg HDPE bags or jumbo bags.

Ferric Chloride in a Rudra International drum
03CAS 7705-08-0

Ferric Chloride

FeCl₃

An iron-based coagulant that is effective over a broad pH range and is widely used to remove phosphorus and heavy metals from wastewater.

Applications

  • Sewage and effluent treatment
  • Phosphate removal
  • Sludge conditioning
  • Etching of printed circuit boards

Grades & forms

Liquid, typically around 40% FeCl₃; anhydrous grade on request.

Typical packing

HDPE carboys, drums or IBC tanks.

Calcium Hypochlorite in a Rudra International drum
04CAS 7778-54-3

Calcium Hypochlorite

Ca(OCl)₂

A stable, high-strength chlorine source for disinfection. It stores better than liquid bleach and is easy to dose by hand or through feeders.

Applications

  • Drinking water disinfection
  • Swimming pool sanitation
  • Cooling water treatment
  • Sanitation of food plants

Grades & forms

Granules or tablets, typically 65–70% available chlorine.

Typical packing

40–45 kg HDPE drums.

Trichloroisocyanuric Acid (TCCA) in a Rudra International drum
05CAS 87-90-1

Trichloroisocyanuric Acid (TCCA)

C₃Cl₃N₃O₃

A slow-dissolving, stabilised chlorine compound with around 90% available chlorine. Its tablets release chlorine steadily, which makes it the standard choice for pools.

Applications

  • Swimming pools and spas
  • Drinking water disinfection
  • Cooling towers
  • Surface disinfection

Grades & forms

Tablets (20 g / 200 g), granules and powder.

Typical packing

50 kg drums; retail tubs on request.

Polyacrylamide (PAM) Flocculant in a Rudra International drum
06CAS 9003-05-8

Polyacrylamide (PAM) Flocculant

(C₃H₅NO)ₙ

A high-molecular-weight polymer that bridges small flocs into large, fast-settling ones. Anionic, cationic and non-ionic types suit different water and sludge.

Applications

  • Mining tailings and thickeners
  • Sludge dewatering
  • Effluent clarification
  • Paper retention aid

Grades & forms

Anionic, cationic and non-ionic powders in a range of molecular weights.

Typical packing

25 kg bags.

Hydrated Lime (Calcium Hydroxide) in a Rudra International drum
07CAS 1305-62-0

Hydrated Lime (Calcium Hydroxide)

Ca(OH)₂

A low-cost alkali for raising pH, softening water and neutralising acidic effluent and mine drainage.

Applications

  • pH correction
  • Acid mine drainage neutralisation
  • Water softening
  • Sludge stabilisation

Grades & forms

Fine powder in several purity grades.

Typical packing

25 kg bags or jumbo bags.
